A Peak into a Farmers Life - Falmouth Farmers Market Today
It's always sad to see those peonies go! I'll have a very few mixed in to the day's bouquets, but other than that we will have to patiently await the arrival of the calla lilies, which, if the early spring has anything to say about it should be right around the corner.
Tomorrow at market I will have another variety of garlic to sample, another softneck called lokalen, prized for it's spicy flavor and its long storage life. Also on the table you'll see my:
washed lettuce mix
lettuce heads
kale
swiss chard
mizuna
garlic scapes, and
some early bundles of lavender and some of chamomile, whose relaxing aroma was clearly having an effect on me in the photograph below
Jams available: Blueberry, Raspberry, Blackberry, Blueberry Rhubarb, Peach Ginger, 3 Berry, Sanguinole Peach, Strawberry, Strawberry Rhubarb Jam, and Currant Jelly
See you at the market!
