Winter at Peachtree Circle Farm
Often people ask what I do during the winter. Am I bored? Do I just wait for things to start growing when spring arrives?
Winter is busy for farmers. While the activities are different, there is no shortage of farm chores. Some of them include - cleanup of gardens and barns, composting, chopping wood, making jams and jellies, pruning, burning brush, planning plot layouts, ordering seeds and finally planting in the greenhouse. Less light, lots to do.
The farm is beautiful in the winter. Peaceful. Resting for another season of great produce.
The winter sky is the star in this picture.
Animal tracks help me know I am not alone.
