Community Supported Agriculture 2015 - Week 3

It's interesting how the CSA evolves each year. The two big challenges for 2015 are the slow start to the growing season and the much-missed shade tree. We are catching up on growing and have a tent now to shade the CSA boxes.

In your box last week you received Tatsoi, an asian green that is high in calcium, iron, and vitamins C, K,and A. This week you'll have Yokatta-Na, a bok choy type that is similar in taste and health benefits but differs in size and stem length. These greens are good as a sauteed side, great in stir fries, and tasty in an omelet or egg scramble. Enjoy them now while the weather is cool, since they poop out in the heat and I won't have them again until fall. Have a great week, all!

Thank you all, and don't forget your bags! Or your vases! We have peonies, iris, false indigo and more this week.

Anid if you need more veg, I am at the Falmouth Farmers Market on Thursdays 12-6 along with several other farms and vendors.
